Whenever I
go on business trips, I always look forward to going home. But when I
was about to leave Cincinnati last week, I was torn between leaving and
staying. I knew there were a lot things to get excited about going
home, but there were also enough reasons to make me stay.
I
super suck at good-byes. I'm the worst at last times and final
farewells. I get sad very quickly. I cry fairly easily. I get attached
to people and places very quickly. I hated saying good-bye to Cinci,
not only because I might not ever visit again, but because the whole
experience has been so great.
There are a lot of things that I
miss. Like our road trips to Cleveland and Pittsburgh when I belt out
to Mark's minus one MP3s. I miss Arthur and Mark's bickering -- on
where to eat and what to do. I miss the subzero temperatures (yes, I
do!). I miss the snow and how it makes everything beautifully white. I
miss watching snowstorms while working from my hotel room. I miss the
people I work with. I miss the simplicity, peace and quiet in the
Cincinnati suburbs and the ease of life there. I guess I miss
everything. I miss just being there.
I can't pinpoint exactly
what made me love Cinci. I guess it's the whole experience that I fell
in love with. So much so that when I came back home, I felt a bit
empty. I seem to have left a part of me miles away -- in the other side
of the world.
I love falling in love with places. Para ding lover yan. Mmmmwah! <3
