This is starting to become a year-end tradition. I've been answering this survey since 2003. I guess it's safe to answer this now since we only have 2 days to go til the end of the year. Here's hoping that nothing astounding will happen in the next couple of days and proof that I lived through 2006:
1. What did you do in 2006 that you'd never done before?
A lot! First-time bridesmaid, donned a bikini
, rode in a banana boat in Puerto Galera, swam in Pagudpud, snorkled in Anilao (i love the beach!), walked in the streets of Auckland, took pictures of the Petronas Towers in Malaysia, felt the cold at a Tagaytay Helipad, and a lot more...
A lot! First-time bridesmaid, donned a bikini
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I guess I wasn't able to keep my "papayat" resolution as I believe I've gained weight in the past year.
But IMHO, I believe I've obtained a stronger faith.
Next year? Papayat uli!!! Hahaha. Stronger faith uli. Happiness -- find something that will make me happy. And I will not sell my soul to work. I will not work myself to the ground.
I guess I wasn't able to keep my "papayat" resolution as I believe I've gained weight in the past year.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Yes!
My cousin, Ate Cel, gave birth to Sean Matthew on October 12, 2006.
Yes!
4. Did anyone close to you die?
Thankfully, no one.
Thankfully, no one.
6. What would you like to have in 2007 that you lacked in 2006?
Life! I feel I've spent 2006 in the office, wallowing in self pity and not actually enjoying life. I hope I get to enjoy life more in 2007 and not have perennial spells of depression, either at home or away from home.

I failed on having healthy relationships with the people I love. I failed in actually loving my work.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Yes, ako si sakiting bata. I was sick in Singapore during BAT for Phase 1 and Phase 2. It sucks to be sick when you're away from home. I was also sick just before SIT-2, I think.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
I bought myself a lot more books this year because I got addicted to book shopping in Singapore.
I also bought Mama crystal earrings for Mother's Day. And lastly, I bought life insurance, which is the best gift to my family when I die. Hahaha.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
A lot of surprises this year:

I turned 22 this year. Yuck. Haha. I'm getting older by the minute. On my birthday, I "worked from home" and stalked people in Friendster. I added lines to programs for work, I remember because I was so excited to put my birthday in the comments. I went to mass at PMIC. My family and I had dinner with my favorite Italian food. We got take out from Aveneto (pasta) and Shakey's (pizza). The best ice cream too (chocolate and vanilla, yum!). All my favorite food for my birthday!

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2006.
"Hindi ka ipagpapatayo ng rebulto ni HP." --Tans
I learned not to work myself to the ground because it's not worth it. I reaffirmed that the simplest things in life, like spending time with my family and sleeping all day, are the best things in life. I learned that if I just have faith, eventually, everything will turn out to be okay.
40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year.
Hinahanap-hanap kita Manila
Hinahanap-hanap kita Manila
Ang ingay mong kay sarap sa tenga
Mga dyipni mong nagliliparan
Mga babae mong naggagandahan
Take me back in your arms Manila
Promise me you'll never let me go
Have a great 2007, everyone!
